31 days of prose: a writing experiment

messing around with text on images as a vessel for this experiment

What: a daily writing experiment — writing daily prose & sharing them within a home for creating throughout the month of October, 2025

When: daily, October 1st - 31st

Why: I want to rebuild my relationship with writing by writing through my fear of sharing what I write

Form, shape, & location: daily visual entries within a designated safe space inside of a home for creating’s Notion hub

An Invitation: while an official invitation to join will be shared through my seasonal email on September 23rd, anyone is welcome to join at anytime, just head here to find out more

Additional support: an email will be sent on October 1st and on October 31st — a way to share my initial and concluding thoughts on the experiment. These two emails will be sent through the freshly squeezed newsletter

I’ll likely meet resistance: a few days into the experiment I’ll probably want to run away and abandon it all, trying to preserve a false sense of safety (if I don’t finish this then I’m less likely say the wrong thing or do a bad job or upset someone!) — my hope is that because I’m doing this experiment inside of a digital space I already feel safe and comfortable sharing within, that it won’t be as hard to find the motivation to keep going when resistance is met

End Goal: to help me determine the where, how, what, and when of my writing (ultimately: figuring out how I wish to relate to my writing right now)

a quick note

because a home for creating is, in itself, an ever-expanding archive of creative experiments, projects, ideas, teachings, and so on, a record of this particular experiment will live on long after it ends on October 31st (though if you wish to follow along daily, I recommend signing up by the 1st of October)

you can always email me with any questions
