chloe almeda pottery
Through the process of hand-building, I design ceramic vessels, flatware, bowls, tiles, wall vases, and whatever else I’ve doodled up in my sketchbook that day, my inspiration pulling from things like small creatures, folklore, textile patterns, Greek mythology, natural textures, rich and vibrant colors, and well-loved home interiors, to name a few
For now, I’ll be using this space to post details of upcoming shows, upload photos of recent work, and share any news from my studio. Most of the events I do are in collaboration with my mom (Cory Winn Pottery), who I’ve been lucky enough to have as a teacher and creative co-conspirator for all these years

I love to document the behind-the-scenes of my creative projects. The experiments. The messy and unfinished. The pieces that don’t work out or the pieces that totally surprise me. The process of documenting reminds me that everything is always in-progress and re-shaping itself into something else, something unexpected.
