freshly squeezed
a long-form newsletter about our thoughts and how we can better support ourselves when left alone with them — find out more below
details
-
Through Freshly Squeezed, I write long-form essays, letters, and pieces of short fiction about changing moods, relationships, creativity, spending time alone, etc., and I’ll be sharing anywhere from 1-3 times monthly (likely no more than that)
An archive of previously sent Freshly Squeezed newsletters lives here
*Freshly Squeezed is a reader-supported publication. To further support this project, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber
-
The two tier options below have equal access to the content that’s shared at Freshly Squeezed. However, if you’d like to further support the efforts behind my writing, I invite you to join as a paid subscriber
[$0/monthly, all you have to do is subscribe] — if you enjoy the writing that’s shared here and would like to follow along
[$5/monthly, just click ‘upgrade’ once subscribed] — if you really enjoy the writing that’s shared here and would love to further support the efforts behind Freshly Squeezed through a monthly subscription
*All subscription details can be found in the FAQ
* If you paid for an annual subscription while Freshly Squeezed was still hosted on Substack, it will remain available to you for as long as you’d like to keep it active—find out more in the FAQ

[01.] I can no longer find you on Substack
I moved to a platform-less system called Buttondown, which means that Freshly Squeezed now arrives via email, directly to your inbox
[02.] How do I manage my existing free or paid subscription?
In creating a Buttondown account, you’ll be able to access and change your subscription status at any time (just make sure that the email you’re making the account with is the same as the one you used to subscribe to this newsletter)
Once logged in, I go to the ‘subscriptions’ section in my Buttondown account, and select the subscription I’d like to review
[03.] What are the benefits of becoming a paid subscriber?
Becoming a paid subscriber is the best way to directly support the work that I do, and ultimately ensuring that my work stays accessible to anyone that would like to read it
[04.] What if I am currently making an annual payment (of $60 or $111) that is no longer being offered as a subscription option?
If you paid for an annual or founding recurring subscription while Freshly Squeezed was hosted on Substack (first off, thank you so so much) it will remain available to you for as long as you’d like to keep it active
If you would like to change or cancel it, please login to your Buttondown account to do so (see question 02.)
Questions? Send me an email (hello@chloealmeda.com)
[05.] What’s the difference between the ‘Monthly Digest’ and ‘Freshly Squeezed’ newsletter?
The Monthly Digest is a free, once-monthly email for those that would like to receive website/offering/project related updates from this website (you can subscribe here)
Freshly Squeezed is a reader-supported newsletter for those interested in receiving personal nonfiction essays, short fiction, and other writing from me, Chloe (you can subscribe at the top of this page)
My hope is that this separation of my website updates (the Monthly Digest) and my personal writing (Freshly Squeezed) will make for a more easeful experience for all
*if you’d like to receive both, please subscribe separately
[06.] Can I get a refund?
While refunds are not available, you can always unsubscribe and cancel your account with Freshly Squeezed. I trust you to thoughtfully manage your own recurring subscriptions
