experiments in motion

somewhere green and filled with daffodils, taken on 35mm film

Going off of the idea that an experiment is something we’re actively choosing to learn more about, try on, better understand, play, interact, imagine, or express ourselves with…

The first experiment that comes to mind is this one: creating a website that feels like a home-on-the-webs (a term I have loosely pulled from Kening Zhu’s practice—someone I’ve recently discovered and talk about more in this post).

Another active experiment (one that bleeds into everything that I do and don’t do): being present, or rather, finding creative ways to gently bring myself back to whatever is right in front of me, so that I am less likely to lose myself in the abyss of an overly critical mind.

In honoring my experiment with being present, the last one that comes to mind is: my relationship to writing, how inconsistent it feels, and the ways that I’m looking to re-imagine what it means to create through every version of myself.

Just below, you’ll find a little cross pollination between categories: a voice note discussing these experiments in more depth.

Bye for now,
Chloe
