inspired by
Inspiration as a resource—as it relates to those that make and share through their creative medium, and in turn, motivating you to write or read or draw or paint or sing or dance or take an improv class.
(or maybe inspiration is a resource because it’s a lifeline).
This ‘part one’ includes a list of those that I have actively spent time being inspired by recently (and have remembered to make note of).
Please note: while this list will not include my current favorite books/authors, I have been wanting to include more book discussions as part of this library. I say this because I think that reading is something that is better (and more fulfilling) when shared and celebrated in community. But more on all that later.
Some of the people I included in this (incomplete) list, were found thanks to the internet knowing me oh-so-well (ex: my love for interior design and artists in their 30’s that don’t take themselves too seriously and have similar aesthetic to me), through the platform I host my newsletter on, friend recommendations, or resources that I came across while listening to a podcast, reading something, or researching a random topic.
A few reasons to being inspired by someone: their niche is an interest of yours, they are community-driven, have a relatable personal story, are doing things unconventionally, like to create for themselves, have a goofy, passionate, warm, curious, smart, or relatable (to you) disposition, a desire to make their digital and in-person spaces beautiful (to you), or maybe it’s as simple as just really liking them.

While I’m sure this list will be something I continue to edit and add to I’ve been curious to take a snapshot of who (and what) is on my mind right now.
Who is helping to support and inspire and shape my current interests and pursuits, without overcrowding my own preferences and ideas and unique way of doing things.
Bye for now,
Chloe
